Roxee Boyd
Percussion Caption Head
We are thrilled to welcome Roxee Jo Boyd as our Percussion Caption Head!
Roxee will be coordinating all things percussion across our marching band, concert band, and percussion ensemble programs, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her leadership and expertise guiding our students.
A dedicated percussion educator based in Northwest Arkansas, Roxee holds both a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Master of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Arkansas. During her time there, she served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, working with percussion chamber ensembles, concert band percussion sections, the Razorback Marching Band Drumline, and teaching the Percussion Methods course. She also maintained a private lesson studio through the Community Music School and contributed to the University’s Marimba Camp and Summer Band Camp.
Roxee brings a wealth of teaching experience, currently serving on percussion staff with Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps and previously teaching with Resistance Indoor Percussion. Her background also includes work with Fayetteville High School, Elmwood Middle School, Siloam Springs High School, and the Pea Ridge School District, where she held multiple roles including Director of Percussion and Assistant Band Director.
As a performer, Roxee has marched with Sacramento Mandarins, Spirit of Atlanta, and Zephyrus Drum and Bugle Corps, and performed with Monarch Independent and Resistance Indoor Percussion. She has also appeared with the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra and numerous University of Arkansas ensembles.
When she’s not making music, Roxee enjoys word games, exploring perfumery, and discovering new gluten-free recipes.
