Kevin Hume

Grimsley JH Director of Bands/BWHS Marching Band

Kevin Hume is a 19-year veteran teacher. He began his teaching career in 2003 in Ozark, Arkansas as the middle school band director and became head director at Ozark High School shortly after. In 2015 Mr. Hume moved to Pea Ridge, Arkansas to be the director of bands and in 2019 became the band director at Lingle Middle school in Rogers. Mr. Hume’s bands have consistently been in the top tier of groups statewide. He has had countless students make All-region and All-State and many of his students have gone on to receive scholarships for playing in college.

Mr. Hume has been married to his wife Amy for almost 25 years. Amy is a first-grade teacher at Elm tree elementary school in Bentonville. They have five children: Laura 20, Elijah 18, Isabella 13, Shelby 7, and Eden 3. Mr. Hume spends most of his time outside of school spending time together with his family. He also enjoys doing “handyman” work for his family and others and loves spending time with his church family.
