2024-2025 Season

Nomination Period:

  • The 2024-2025 Booster Board Officer nominations are open April 1-30, 2024.

  • Following the nomination period, a web form will be sent out for voting.

Eligibility:

  • Parents and/or guardians of students (grades 6-12) currently enrolled in the band and/or color guard programs at Bentonville West High School and its feeder schools are eligible to serve on the board. Must be in good standing as outlined in the Volunteer Code of Conduct.

Nomination Results:

  • Nomination results will be announced by May 5, 2024 along with a web voting form.

  • Officers shall be elected by a majority vote of active members by a ballot system.

Term:

  • Elected board officers will serve on the board for a 1-year term beginning July 1, 2024.

Volunteer Managers (Non-Voting Officers; Meeting Attendance is NOT Required):

  • Volunteer Managers are dedicated volunteers tasked with a set of responsibilities for the 2024-2025 band season. These leaders will receive direction from a Wolverine Band Booster Officer and provide direction to volunteer helpers.


Board Officer Positions for Nomination:

Administrative Officers:

  • President: The principal executive officer of the WBB and in general supervises and controls all of its business and affairs.

  • Executive Vice President: Oversees the Operational Officers, ensuring their ability to succeed in executing their duties and responsibilities.

  • Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer: The Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer are preferred, but not required, to have knowledge of non-profit accounting policies, non-profit tax laws and fiscal record-keeping practices.
    Neither the Treasurer nor Assistant Treasurer may be employees of Bentonville Public Schools.

  • Secretary: Keeper of minutes, records, rosters, calendar of events, and more.

Operational Officers:

  • VP of Fundraising: Manage fundraising initiatives to maximize the growth and overall success of the band program.

  • VP of Concessions: Oversee schedules, shopping, inventory, and operations to successfully run quality concessions.

  • VP of Operations: Coordinate all transportation and pit-crew logistics for efficiency and ensure quality props/equipment.

  • Co-VP of Student Services (Uniforms): Manage band uniforms and performance readiness of students (home and away).

  • Co-VP of Student Services (Student Meals): Coordinate meals and snacks for students, staff and volunteers for games and performances (home and away).

  • VP of Communications: Develop and deliver a communication strategy that brings awareness to accomplishments and initiatives of the band program.

  • VP of Volunteers: Recruit adequate support to ensure the wellness of students and a high functioning band program.
