Board Officer Position Summaries
Administrative Officers:
President: The President serves as the chief executive, overseeing all operations and leadership functions, presiding over meetings, representing the organization, executing authorized agreements, and managing key responsibilities including support of officers and the scholarship process.
Executive Vice President: The Executive Vice President oversees key operational roles (Volunteers, Meals, and Uniforms), supports their success, assumes presidential duties when needed, carries out additional assignments from leadership, and manages delegation, chair selection, and oversight of special events.
Treasurer: Oversees all financial operations, including recordkeeping, reporting, compliance, and management of funds and revenue activities. Cannot be an employee of Bentonville Public Schools
Assistant Treasurer: Supports financial processes through tasks such as sponsorship tracking, cash handling, and fundraising coordination, and assumes Treasurer duties when needed. Cannot be an employee of Bentonville Public Schools.
Secretary: The Secretary serves as keeper of minutes, manages official records and system administration, and supports overall organizational coordination.
Operational Officers:
VP of Fundraising: Manage fundraising initiatives to maximize the growth and overall success of the band program.
VP of Concessions: Oversee schedules, shopping, inventory, and operations to successfully run quality concessions.
VP of Operations: Coordinate all transportation and pit-crew logistics for efficiency and ensure quality props/equipment.
VP of Uniforms: Manage band and guard uniform inventory, maintenance, and general care.
VP of Hospitality: Organize and execute all aspects of student meals and provide general hospitality for special guests.
VP of Communications: Develop and deliver a communication strategy that brings awareness to accomplishments and initiatives of the band program.
VP of Volunteers: Recruit adequate support to ensure the wellness of students and a high functioning band program.
